Husband arrested for allegedly attempting to murder Tirupur MP

Reports suggest that one Vasu, the husband of V Sathyabama, an MP from Tirupur was arrested for allegedly attempting to murder the lawmaker. The AIADMK MP is based out of Gobichettipalayam of Erode district. Vasu was arrested based on a complaint filed by Sathyabama's brother. It is alleged that Vasu attempted to attack his estranged wife with a knife. The couple married in 1990 and has a son. However, they separated in 2016 following a family dispute, reports added.
