According to reports, humanoid robots will soon be installed in Chennai Airport to help guide passengers. The robots will be able to help the passengers with everything.
As of now, only three robots will be introduced - one at the domestic arrival, one at the domestic departure and one at the international departure. The Officials of Airports Authority of India (AAI) have reportedly begun discussions with companies to buy the robots.
With the introduction of robots at the airport, Chennai will follow close on the heels of Delhi after the Indira-Gandhi International Airport which is to get humanoid robots in the month of July. The idea was introduced by airlines, Vistara. The robot will be called RADA and will be added in the lounge.
