The Human Resources Development Ministry on Tuesday released the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF). According to the rankings, four Tamil Nadu colleges are amongst the top 10 colleges in India. The colleges are - Bishop Heber College at number three, Presidency College at number five, Loyola College at number six and Madras Christian College at number 10.
Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru was ranked first in the overall rankings, followed by Indian Institute of Technology, Madras in second place. Anna University was placed tenth in the overall list.
