Chowkidar to Contractor and Apollo days - how people are taking a dig at politics using #Pray_For_Neasamani
Home > News Shots > Tamil Nadu news#Pray_For_Neasamani is trending on Twitter since May 29 and Tamil Twitter is killing it with their sense of humour. Nesamani is a character played by actor Vadivelu in the movie Friends starring Vijay, Surya, Devayani and others.
What started as a chunk of light hearted trolling grew massive as it started to trend and people added their five cents to it and created a scene mimicking the health update of late politician ex-CM of Tamil Nadu J Jayalalitha and her days in Apollo Hospital.

Some have changed their name of Twitter adding "Contractor" in front of their name like "Chowkidar" taking a sly dig at BJP and Modi.
We should prefix Contractor to our handles as a mark of solidarity and respect for #Nesamani. Like Chowkidar. #Pray_for_Neasamani #Pray_For_Nesamani https://t.co/ffzuLm6o3h

Tamil Twitter's strength and their sense of humour is once again on show with this new hashtag trending in top. Unlike it is widely said, people do not forget with time; instead, like it has happened in the past under great rulers and dictators, a famous example being Charlie Chaplin, people add humour to convey their serious message.
