Giraffe meets tragic end at Vandalur zoo!

A 20-year-old male giraffe reportedly fell into an eight-foot-deep trench and suffered grave injuries due to which the animal died on Thursday. The giraffe was lifted with a crane from the trench and declared dead by the doctors. After which, the giraffe was buried in the zoo and the incident was revealed on Saturday after an autopsy. The deceased giraffe and another female giraffe were brought from West Bengal to Vandalur in 1998.
