A group of five masked men looted the Mannargudi Mercantile Bank at gunpoint on Monday afternoon leaving the entire neighbourhood in shock. Reportedly, a man stood outside on guard, while the rest threatened the manager with a gun to empty the bank lockers. Rs 6 lakh cash and Rs 3 lakh worth jewellery were stolen from the bank.
According to reports, the Tiruvarur district SP, Mayilvaganam has announced that the robbers will be traced using computer-drawn pictures. He also informed that four individual teams have been formed to nab the robbers.
