While addressing the Assembly that convened on Tuesday, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi Palaniswami pinned the blame on DMK MLA Geetha Jeevan for the violence in Thootukudi against Sterlite Copper that led to 13 civilians being gunned down. The CM further flashed photos of mob violence against the police force.
EPS further appealed to the people of the district to be calm in order for normalcy to be restored and also asked them to not pay heed to those instigating them in violence as a form of protest.
