The DMK party announced that along with supporting parties, they will be protesting in the capitals of all the districts in Tamil Nadu on May 25. The Sterlite protest which has been happening for 100 days in Thoothukudi, turned deadly on Tuesday, the 100th day.
Police opened fire on the protestors, taking the lives of 11. Many were injured and had to be admitted to the hospital.
DMK working president, MK Stalin urged TN CM Edappadi K Palaniswami to take action against the Director General of Police, who failed to maintain law and order in Thoothukudi yesterday.
