BREAKING: One more DMK MLA Tests Positive for COVID-19 - Details

The MLA of Rishivandhiyam, K.Karthikeyan tested positive for the novel coronavirus on June 21. He belongs to DMK and has been reported as the second DMK MLA to have tested positive for the virus.

Last week, his wife Ilamathi (40) and his eight year old daughter tested positive for the virus after they showed symptoms. Both the affected family members of the MLA was admitted to a private medical college hospital where they have been undergoing treatment.

Karthikeyan was among the 7 other family members who had come in direct contact with both Ilamathi and her daughter.

A few weeks ago, DMK MLA Anbazhagan tested positive for the infection. However, he was kept under a ventilator as his situation worsened. Ultimately he died while undergoing treatment.
