COVID-19: 96 New Positive Cases in Tamil Nadu; Details Listed!
Home > News Shots > Tamil Nadu newsTamil Nadu on Thursday reported 96 new Coronavirus cases taking the total number of positive cases to 834, State Health Secretary Beela Rajesh told reporters. Of the 96 new cases, 84 cases have the same source of infection.
Chennai has the highest number of Coronavirus cases in Tamil Nadu (163), followed by Coimbatore which has 60 cases.
As per Tamil Nadu Heath Department’s latest data, the state government has screened 2,10,538 passengers and has isolated 2042 suspected individuals in hospitals.
The state government has tested 7267 samples of which 834 have tested positive. Results of 485 samples are awaited. 27 patients were discharged following treatment.
Tamil Nadu has 19 (12 Govt and 7 private) functioning COVID-19 testing facilities. A total of 3,371 ventilators and 29,074 isolation beds are available in the state.
