COVID-19: 69 New Positive Cases in Tamil Nadu! Details Listed!
Home > News Shots > Tamil Nadu newsTamil Nadu on Tuesday reported 69 new Coronavirus cases taking the total number of positive cases to 690, State Health Secretary Beela Rajesh told reporters. Of the 69 new cases, 63 cases have the same source of infection.
A 64-year-old COVID-19 positive woman who was admitted to Rajiv Gandhi Government Hospital (RGGH) in Chennai passed away today, 7 April. Tamil Nadu has so far reported 7 death due to the virus.
Chennai has the highest number of Coronavirus cases in Tamil Nadu (149), followed by Coimbatore which has 60 cases.
As per Tamil Nadu Heath Department’s latest data, the state government has screened 2,10,538 passengers and has isolated 1864 suspected individuals in hospitals.
The state government has tested 5305 samples of which 690 have tested positive. Results of 201 samples are awaited. 19 patients were discharged following treatment.
Tamil Nadu has 19 (12 Govt and 7 private) functioning COVID-19 testing facilities. A total of 3,371 ventilators and 22,049 isolation beds are available in the state.
