526 New Cases, 4 Deaths in Tamil Nadu Today; Additional COVID-19 Details Listed

Tamil Nadu on Saturday, 9 May, reported 526 new cases of COVID-19 taking the total number of cases in the state 6535.

Press Note from the Health Ministry said a total of 1867 cases are linked to Koyambed Market.

Four persons succumbed to the virus on the date taking the death toll of the state to 44.

Total number of Male/Female/Transgender tested positive today – 360/166/0

Total number of Male/Female/Transgender tested positive till date – 4495/2038/2

Total number of functioning COVID-19 testing facilities – 53 (37 government and 16 private)

Total number of samples tested till date – 2,29,670

Total number of samples tested today – 13,254

Total number of persons tested till date – 2,19,406

Total number of persons tested today – 12,999

Total number of suspected individuals in isolation ward admission – 4248

Total number of patients discharged following treatment till date– 1824

Total number of patients discharged following treatment today – 219
