COVID-19: 48 New Positive Cases in Tamil Nadu; Details Listed!
Home > News Shots > Tamil Nadu newsTamil Nadu on Wednesday reported 48 new Coronavirus cases taking the total number of positive cases to 738, State Health Secretary Beela Rajesh told reporters. Of the 48 new cases, 42 cases have the same source of infection.
Chennai has the highest number of Coronavirus cases in Tamil Nadu (156), followed by Coimbatore which has 60 cases.
As per Tamil Nadu Heath Department’s latest data, the state government has screened 2,10,538 passengers and has isolated 1953 suspected individuals in hospitals.
The state government has tested 6095 samples of which 738 have tested positive. Results of 344 samples are awaited. 21 patients were discharged following treatment.
Tamil Nadu has 19 (12 Govt and 7 private) functioning COVID-19 testing facilities. A total of 3,371 ventilators and 22,049 isolation beds are available in the state.
