Actor and BJP member S Ve Shekher was reportedly ordered by a Metropolitan Magistrate Court in Saidapet to appear before the court on June 20. Despite filing a case against the comedian who faced heavy backlash after his derogatory comments on social media about female journalists, he is still yet to be arrested.
S Ve Shekher had shared an offensive post on female journalists after Tamil Nadu Governor Banwarilal Purohit apologised to a woman reporter for patting her cheek. Journalists from all over the state protested against Shekher after which he went into hiding. Shekher was reportedly seen on Sunday at the South Indian Cinema and TV producers association.
Reportedly, the summon was issued by Chief Metropolitan Magistrate S Malarvizhi.
