According to reports, a first-year law college student from Coimbatore was suspended from college as she spoke about the rape and murder of the 8-year-old Kashmir girl. During an interactive session in the college, students were encouraged to talk about social issues during when the student spoke about the rape and murder.

The judge who was present during the session reportedly complained to the college principal saying that the student created 'communal divide' among the other students due to which she was suspended.
