Cloudy sky today; rain unlikely: Met center

While the suburbs received light rain on Wednesday and an overcast sky kept temperatures low in the afternoon, the Met office ruled out any possibility of rainfall in Chennai on Thursday. Temperatures fell by nearly 2 degree Celsius across Chennai between 12:00 pm and 5:00 pm on Wednesday, from levels recorded at the same time on Tuesday.

In a forecast on Wednesday, the Met office reportedly said that the sky will remain partly cloudy but chances for rain are low.
