According to reports, a man was arrested after he tried to cheat his prospective bride's family by claiming that he was an MBA graduate. Allegedly, Mohammed Aslam is a class 9 pass-out who claimed that he was an MBA graduate and was earning Rs 1 lakh in London so as to get married.

 

Believing his lies, Syed Ibrahim, a hotel owner in Chennai decided to get the accused married to his eldest daughter. However, Mohammed got caught after Syed did a background check on him. It was found that Mohammed was no MBA graduate and was in fact just a labourer in London.

 

The bride's father immediately stopped the arrangements for marriage, to which the accused responded with threatens to morph pictures of the bride and release it on social media. Syed immediately lodged a complaint at the Royapuram police station against the accused after which he was arrested.
