After two members from a private hospital tested positive for Cholera, the health department of Tamil Nadu government conducted an investigation and it has been found that an African patient could be the source of the infection.

 

Cholera is an acute diarrheal infection caused by ingestion of food or water contaminated with the bacterium Vibrio cholerae. According to health experts, it is an extremely virulent disease that can cause severe acute watery diarrhea.
