Police praised for call of duty; makes youngsters clean beach after party

His commitment towards work was not just to patrol on the Elliot beach but to go beyond the call of duty and ensure clean and safe surrounding in that area.
Christopher's usual timing to patrol the beach is from 4:00 pm to 1:00 am. Last week, while he was on duty he noticed that a group of elderly people who usually visit the beach had to jump over litter. On looking at that, Christopher decided to clean up the litter by the ones who did it.
Coming into action, Christopher noticed several discarded green coloured cake boxes. With the help of the name on the boxes, he got it touch with the cake shop owner and inquired about recent orders. To his surprise, the owner informed him about a group of youngsters who had ordered in bulk recently.
According to Times of India (ToI), the owner of the cake shop informed the Christopher about an order for 19 cakes which was made online recently. With the help of the phone number, the police called up the concerned person and demanded the group to meet him on the beach. In no time, a group of 10 members reached the spot. Minutes later, the group was asked to clean the beach which they had littered. Without wasting much time, the youngsters got into action and cleaned that area.
After this act of Christopher, he was hailed by the department and officials to take this matter serious. They lauded him for his dedication towards work and keeping the beach clean.
Christopher is a native of Tirunelveli, who is preparing for sub-inspector post.
