What looked like a complete shutdown, the Marina beach, which is usually packed with people on weekends, wore a deserted look on Sunday. Since the State government anticipated protests demanding that the Cauvery Management Board be set up, youth and ‘potential problem creators’ were not allowed to enter the beach, according to TNIE reports.
People were allowed to enter the beach only after being checked by the 200-odd police officials on the Marina.
