Two men barged into a MedPlus medical store in Alwarpet, threatened the staff with a dagger and robbed the store. The incident happened at 10.45 pm on April 18. According to reports, Rs 24,000 from the cash register and the staff's gold chain were stolen.
Before leaving, the robbers knocked down the staff with the hilt of the dagger and locked the shutters. The staff was relieved of his captivity by the building owner after knocking on the shutters. The police were informed and are currently using the CCTV footage to identify the thieves.
