Mystery Still Surrounds IT Girl's Death, As Police Reveal Some Details On The Fall!

Days after, a 23-year-old girl allegedly jumped to death from 8th floor of an IT park in Ambattur Industrial Estate, Chennai; the city police on Saturday revealed details about the tragic death. 

The 23-year-old girl has been identified as Danita Julius who hailed from Trichy. She was a software engineer and was employed in a private company in the IT park. 

After initial investigation, Ambattur Assistant Commissioner Kannan, Inspector Vijayaraghavan said "Danita came to Chennai for work a few years ago and stayed in a Ladies Hostel here. It was on the first day that this tragic incident happened. At the time of the incident, she was climbing up the stairs from her working site (2nd floor) to the 9th floor restaurant. While on her way to the ninth floor, she was also texting her father about a relative's marriage which is due in November where she told her dad as "how can I participate in it?".

After she fell from the 8th floor, one of her shoes was left behind while the other was on her dead body. Her phone was also found near the shoe. 

"The medical experts who performed the autopsy claimed that after her falling she fractured her arms and legs. Even her head was also severely injured," the police further added. 

She joined the company earlier that day and had a tragic death by 7:00 pm. Employees in the IT park heard a loud thud at the backside of the building and rushed to the spot where they found the girl dead with her head smashed, reports The New Indian Express.  

Currently, Danita's phone is locked and much information on that day's could not be revealed. Meanwhile, the telecommunication experts are on it to track messages and calls that Danita had made that day. 

When police contacted her parents, they stated that Danita was very much concerned about her health and diet. She would always prefer taking the stairs to lift, also she used to practice a lot of exercise and took part in marathons too. 

The body has been handed over to her parents after autopsy for the final rites. When speaking to media, Danita's father with teary eyes said "My daughter is not coward enough to commit suicide. I didn't nurture her like that. She was always courageous. She would not have committed suicide."

Currently, her collegues and HR manager have been called for interrogation.
