A man and his aides slit the throat of a horse to take revenge on its owner who allegedly caused them to go to jail. The incident took place in Nadukuppam near Triplicane in Chennai.
Rajesh, who earns his livelihood from horse safari, was rearing two horses named after his children Stephen and Vishali. On Monday, horse Stephen, which was tied under the MRTS railway bridge, was found with his throat slit and blood oozing out.
Rajesh immediately took the animal to Vepery veterinary college hospital where it was saved after having 50 stitches. A surgical scalpel was allegedly used to cut the horse’s neck, which is hard and thick.
Later, police examined CCTV footages and found that Gokul from the area along with his friends was involved in the act. While they had planned to kill Rajesh, he was not found. So, they unleashed the inhuman act on the horse.
Marina police have filed a case in the matter. They have also reportedly arrested four and an investigation is on. They have also launched a hunt for Gokul.
