The Chennai City police have registered a case against the mother of a class XI boy after the latter died in a road accident.
The boy, a Mugappair resident, was reportedly not wearing a helmet and sustained severe head injuries. Meena Venkatesh, the boy’s mother, gave him Bajaj Pulsar 200-CC bike to go to tuition center on which the boy took his classmate too.
The boy was taken to Kilpauk Medical College and hospital and later shifted to a private hospital in Thousand lights, where he succumbed to injuries.
