Rapid tests were being conducted using the Rapid Testing kits that arrived in Tamil Nadu, which began at Royapuram on Sunday. However, the kits are not being used now, since ICMR has advised to not use them for testing after faulty results were reported.
The city’s residents are to strictly follow the rules implemented by the authorities, especially those residing in and around the containment zones; to pave way for normalcy to return.
