Demanding the cancellation of IPL match in Chennai, politicians, artists, Tamil-enthusiasts and activists, and public held a major protest in the area near the MA Chidambaram stadium. They demanded that the IPL match should not be held in Chennai until the formation of Cauvery Management Board.
As many as 800 people, who created ruckus like burning jerseys and match tickets, throwing footwear, damaging barricades and even attacking an ambulance were arrested on Tuesday.
