Anbumani Ramadoss, along with 500 others, detained

PMK youth wing leader Anbumani Ramadoss was arrested along with 500 other supporters on Wednesday following an attempt to lay siege to Egmore railway station in Chennai. While the party had called for protests over the Cauvery issue, the party members on Wednesday were involved in blocking roads and railway tracks. Earlier, a PMK worker was electrocuted in Tindivanam while walking on top of a train during the protest.
