Captain to the rescue, DMDK to donate relief material worth Rs 1 cr to Kerala

DMDK headed by Vijayakanth has announced that all party districts would contribute Rs 1 crore as relief fund for Kerala. The relief materials would be sent from August 24 onwards.

The announcement comes just as Vijayakanth returned from the United States, where he had gone to seek medical treatment. 

Upon his return, he and his wife Premalatha were seen paying floral tributes to Kalaignar Karunanidhi at the Marina.
