CAA Not Threat for Muslims Says Rajinikanth, Stalin Hits Back
Home > News Shots > Tamil Nadu newsRecently, Superstar Rajinikanth spoke in support of Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) and said that it’s in no way detrimental to Muslims. Now, DMK President MK Stalin has reacted to the same and said that Rajinikanth isn’t aware of the sufferings of the people.
“It is worrisome that he does not know this. I only hope he will change his opinion after this," the DMK chief said.
Earlier, while speaking about the same, Rajinikanth had said, “Students need to be cautious when they protest on such issues. Political parties try to take advantage of the situation.”
He spoke about the National Registry of Citizens (NRC) and said that it was an important thing to do. “It has been done in 2010, and 2015 by the Congress and it’s essential to do it in 2021 also. We need to know who’s Indian and who are the foreigners living in India,” he said.
When quizzed about him being in the money-lending business, all he said was, “I am an honest working person. I have paid my taxes correctly.”
