Crime: 14-year-Old Boy murders 9-year Old Girl after Rape attempt in a Jasmine farm in TN!

A nine- year- old girl was found in a jasmine farm at Krishnasamudram near Manapparai with severe injuries on Sunday Evening. She died at the Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Government Hospital in Trichy on Sunday midnight. 

The girl was found in an unconscious state in the farm with severe head injuries. She was immediately rushed to the government hospital and shifted to MGMGH for treatment. However, her condition deteriorated and she died.

The victim was a class 3 student in a government school in the area. The investigation was undertaken by the all women police station in Manapparai. The 14-year-old neighbour of the girl informed the police about the victim lying in an unconscious state. He became a suspect and the police investigated him. The contradictory statements he made during the interrogation confirmed his role in the murder. 

Reportedly, further inquiry unveiled that he was studying in the same school that the girl studied in. He forced the victim to come to the jasmine farm. It is in the farm that he attempted to sexually assault her. When the victim resisted, he hit her with a stone several times which made her unconscious. 

According to media reports, Superintendent of police Zia ul Haque said that the boy has been booked under IPC and sexual harassment under Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POSCO) Act.
