Chennai Techie Attacked, Robbed By Gang At Knifepoint 

A 26-year-old software engineer was attacked and robbed by a gang near Mogappair on Tuesday night. This incident happened when he was returning home from work. 

The techie identified as Prabhakar, was robbed of Rs. 3,000 near his residence. He stays near Olympic colony in Mogappair.  

According to Times of India (ToI) report, Prabhakar was walking down the road when he was intercepted by the gang who came on their bike at a dimly lit road near his house. 

When Prabhakar tried to rush home, one of the robbers who was riding a bike attacked him and snatched his purse. The men also tried threatening him at knifepoint. In fear the techie took out his wallet and threw it before running from the spot injured. 

Sadly, the injured techie then cried for help and locals rushed to him after hearing his cries. Meanwhile, the gang on bike managed to run from the spot. 

Prabhakar, was then given immediate treatment at a local hospital where he was given sutures on his head. The techie has registered a case in this matter and police are in search of the robbers.
