To condemn the mass firing in Thoothukudi by TN cops, the opposition parties will be holding a state-wide bandh on Friday which will be led by DMK.
Normal life is likely to be affected in Tamil Nadu as about 40% of buses and a significant number of autorickshaws will reportedly stay away from roads as trade unions have decided to join the bandh call.
It is unclear how many shopkeepers will keep their shops shut since prominent trader associations have not made their stance clear until Thursday evening.
However, perishable goods like fruits and vegetables, will be available, says Soundrarajan of Koyambedu potato wholesale merchants association according to TNM. Milk too will be available in the state without any hassle.
