Patanjali cofounder Baba Ramdev met with Vedanta founder and chairman Anil Agarwal in London on Monday. Soon after the meet, he tweeted in support of Sterlite. In his tweet, he claimed that the protestors against Sterlite were instigated by 'international conspirators'.
Ramdev shared a photo of him and Anil Agarwal and praised the company. He tweeted, "International conspirators created ruckus at one of Vedanta’s plant in South of India through innocent local people. Industries are the temples of development for the nation. They should not be closed."
Due to the questionable actions of the Sterlite copper plant in Thoothukudi regarding environmental aspects, people took up protesting against it. However, Baba Ramdev's tweets shed no light on the risk the environment will have to go through. in fact, his tweets did not even mention Thoothukudi.
