Army to finally get bullet-proof jackets

After about nine years, Indian Army has finally approved procuring of bullet-proof jackets for soldiers to be worn in their intense operations. In this regard, the Defence Ministry has signed a contract with a defense firm to procure 1.86 lakh bulletproof jackets at a cost of Rs 639 crore.
