Activist Piyush Manush arrested

Salem-based environmental activist Piyush Manush was arrested on Monday evening for protesting against the expansion of the Salem airport as well as the proposed eight-lane Chennai-Salem expressway.

Manush has been charged under section 153a (promoting enmity between groups on grounds of religion, race, place of birth, residence, language, etc and doing acts prejudicial to maintenance of harmony).

Manush is accused no 1 along with actor Mansoor Ali Khan.
