Mugilan a 6-year-old boy is the son of Jaishankar and Revathy from Kovilpatti's Vadakku Muthalapuram area Thoothukudi. As his school was declared holiday, he was playing near his home on the day of the incident. When Jaishankar and Revathy looked for him after some, he went missing.
Missing Complaint
The boy's parents filed a missing complaint at the Ettayapuram police station and also informed that they suspect a man named Arulraj.
Based on the complaint, the police started an investigation with Arul raj. To the shock of police, Arulraj confessed that he had beaten the boy to death and did not know the place where he threw the body. Meanwhile, the boy's relatives staged a protest on Thoothukudi-Madurai National highways in M Kottur Vilakku region.
Dead Body
The police searched the body of Mugilan with the help of sniffing dog and found it in Muthalapuram forest region. Eventually, Arulraj was arrested and his records revealed his criminal background. Arulraj has already 3 murder cases, 1 sexual abuse case and 1 robbery case in his kitty.
It is said that Arulraj and Mugilan's uncle had some conflict over the elections which might have altered Arulraj's mind to kill Mugilan. However, it is only after further investigation that the actual motive of Arulraj to kill Mugilan will be revealed.
