15-Year-Old Girl Set Ablaze in TN, Later Succumbs To Injuries!
Home > News Shots > Tamil Nadu newsIn a shocking case, a 15-year-old girl succumbed to her burn injuries after she was set on fire by two men in Tamil Nadu's Viluppuram district. The girl had sustained over 70 percent burns, when she was admitted to the Viluppuram Government Medical College.
As per Times Now report, the Viluppuram district police has arrested two men in this matter. They have been arrested based on the statement given by the victim.
As per The Hindu report, the two men have been identified as G Murugan and K Kaliyaperumal. Both are members of the ruling AIADMK while Murugan is also the husband of a former councillor.
Yesterday, a horrifying video of the girl went viral on social media in which she was heard naming the people in the case. She was also heard crying and asks for her parents in the video, Times Now further reported.
Meanwhile, Viluppuram Superintendent of Police S Jayakumar, said that the incident took place on Sunday when the 15-year-old was alone at a shop which was owned by her father Jayabalu. The two men came to the shop, forcefully poured kerosene on her and burnt her alive. This incident happened when her parents and sibling were not at home.
Reportedly, the police say that a personal enmity between the victim’s family and the accused might be the reason behind the crime. A case has been registered in this regard.
