13-year-Old girl Murder Case: Woman 'Black Magician' Arrested - Police reveal Chilling details!
Home > News Shots > Tamil Nadu newsThe police on June 3 revealed that the death of the 13-year-old girl reported earlier last month, was a murder committed by her own father after listening to a black magician. The incident took place in Pudukkottai district, on May 18.
Panneerselvam (41) had been identified as the prime accused. He had confessed to killing his daughter, born to his first wife, as a black magician said that it would put an end to his financial problems. He had committed the crime along with his second wife, Mookayi and another relative Kumar. However, Mookayi was also found dead on May 30, under mysterious circumstances. The police has been investigating her case and the post-mortem results are yet to be received.
According to the police, Panneerselvam had approached a black magician, Vasanthi, as he was concerned about his financial situation. Vasanthi had advised him, to ‘sacrifice’ one of his daughters born to his first wife.
After the minor girl left home to fetch water but didn’t return for a long time, her mother went in search of her. However, she was found unconscious but alive. She passed away after being admitted to a hospital.
The police suspected sexual assault as her pants were missing, but the post-mortem reports ruled out that possibility. “The trio had conducted a pooja at the grove on the day before the murder — just about 300 metres away from the spot. They were not particular about killing this specific victim. The plan was to kill whichever of the daughters ventured out to fetch water. The child was strangled with a towel. After she fell unconscious, the towel and the pooja items were buried near the spot,” said Arun Sakthikumar, Pudukkottai’s SP.
All the three have been jailed.
