Sachin Tendulkar hails Ravindra Jadeja, says "He is turning everything into gold"

The first Test between India and Sri Lanka began on March 4 at Mohali Stadium. Former Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar has heaped praises on Ravindra Jadeja who played magnificiently in this match. 

First Test

The match started with a bang as this Mohali Test was the 100th Test match for Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma took over as the captain. The Indian team won the toss and elected to bat. Following this, the Indian batsmen came on the field and showed action from the beginning. Kohli, disappointed his fans by being out by 45 runs. But then Rishabh Pant , Ashwin and Jadeja showed action and the Indian team's score skyrocketed to 574 for eight before they declared their innings.

Ravindra Jadeja's brilliant show

Ravindra Jadeja remained unbeaten on 175 runs as captain Rohit Sharma declared the innings. His stunning knock was laced with 17 fours and 3 sixes. Not only did he win the viewers' hearts with his batting skills but also with his bowlings as well. He took 5 wickets in the first innings, 4 wickets in the second innings and was awarded the Man of the Match award.

Meanwhile, former Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar on his official Twitter page tweeted, "Jadeja is turning everything into gold! Wonderful performance."
