IPL 2022: Murugan Ashwin's connect with Unnaipol Oruvan & Billa 2 - Details!

The IPL this year started on March 26, and since then, it has been a lively time for cricket fans.

Two matches will be played today, Saturday (02.04.2022). In the first match, Mumbai Indians and Rajasthan Royals clashed.

Batting first, Rajasthan scored 193 for the loss of 8 wickets. Jose Butler scored a century.

Subsequently, youngsters Ishant Kishan and Tilak added an impressive run to the Mumbai team towards the goal. But, as their wickets fell, the Mumbai team lost consecutive wickets, scoring only 170 runs. Thus, Rajasthan won by 23 runs.

MI, who have played two matches in the 15th edition of the IPL so far, have lost both. Earlier, in the first match against Delhi, despite not getting a win, Tamil Nadu's Murugan Ashwin, scored two wickets to his name.

Though Ashwin did not do well in the match against Rajasthan, fans are expecting him to make an impact in the upcoming matches with his spin bowling.

M. Ashwin's father, Mr. Murugan is a popular Tamil writer, who has written a number of acclaimed literary works including novels, short stories and poetry collections. 

Not just that, he has won some major awards for his books. Apart from that, Murugan has also written scripts for Kamal Haasan's 'Unnaipol Oruvan' and Ajith Kumar's 'Billa 2'. Both films were directed by Chakri Toleti.

It is noteworthy that many have now come to know that the father of Tamil Nadu player Murugan Ashwin, who is in the Mumbai team, is a Tamil writer and has written scripts for films by Kamal and Ajith.
