IPL 2022: Tonight's CSK vs RCB match will be extra-special for Dhoni - here's why!

The 49th league match of the IPL series is scheduled to be played today (04.05.2022) at the Pune Ground. The Chennai Super Kings team led by Dhoni and the Royal Challengers Bangalore team led by Du Plessis will clash. The CSK team had already won the match in which the two teams clashed. So it looks like the Bangalore team will show initiative in today's match.

Similarly, with Dhoni back in charge of the CSK team, there has been great anticipation among the fans. In this context, Dhoni is going to create many achievements in today's match. Dhoni will play his 200th match for CSK in the IPL. Dhoni is proud to be the 2nd player to reach this milestone.

Earlier, Bangalore's Virat Kohli had set the record last year. Virat Kohli has played 217 matches for Bangalore so far. Similarly, Dhoni has so far amassed 5994 runs in T20 cricket. So if Dhoni scores 6 runs in today's match against Bangalore, he will become the 2nd player in T20 cricket to score 6000 runs as a captain.

Virat Kohli is the first person to create this record. He has played in 190 matches and scored 6451 runs. Dhoni has also scored 836 runs against Bangalore so far. This includes 46 sixes. So if Dhoni hits 4 sixes in today's match, he will become the first Indian to score 50 sixes against a team in the IPL.
