Wow! Shreyas Iyer jumps to 18th position in ICC T20 rankings!

Delhi: Young Indian cricketer Shreyas Iyer has been ranked 18th in the ICC T20 rankings. Meanwhile, team star Virat Kohli has dropped out of the top 10 for the first time.

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has released the rankings for T20 cricket. The rankings have been released up to the recently concluded India-Sri Lanka T20 series. Indian batsman Shreyas Iyer has made it into the top 20.

He also scored an impressive half-century in the 3rd T20 match against Sri Lanka and shone as the match winner. Shreyas Iyer scored a total of 204 runs in this match alone. As a result, he has moved up 27 places to 18th position. Meanwhile, former India captain Virat Kohli has slipped to 15th position. This is the first time that Virat Kohli has slipped from the top 10 for a long time.

Virat Kohli scored only 50 runs in 3 matches against Sri Lanka. Similarly, Indian captain Rohit Sharma slipped two places to 13th. KL Rahul is the only Indian in the top 10 (10th). In the bowling rankings, Bhuvneshwar Kumar has moved up three places to 17th with a stellar performance against Sri Lanka.
