The 6th match of the 15th season of IPL was played yesterday between Kolkata Knight Riders and Royal Challengers Bangalore. Bangalore captain Du Plessis won the toss and elected to field first. Accordingly, Kolkata scored 128 in the first innings.
Following this, Bangalore continued the second innings. After losing wickets from the start, Bangalore finally won the match. This is the first victory of the Bangalore team in this IPL series.

Speaking on the occasion, Shreyas Iyer said, "I really found this game exciting, because before getting into the second phase, I just spoke to my boys and told them that this game is going to define our character and attitude on the field.It does not matter if we defend the total or not, but the way we fight it on the ground, that is really going to reflect our mentality. I'm really proud of the way we played this game and took it to the last over."
Iyer also noted that the match was called off as attempts to take wickets in the end were unsuccessful.
