Batting next, CSK lost all their wickets in 18 overs and scored only 126 runs. Thus embracing defeat by a margin of 54 runs. The CSK team has lost the first 3 matches of the IPL series by losing this match. This is the first time in IPL history that the team lost the match in a hat-trick.
Speaking about the defeat after the match, CSK captain Jadeja said, “I think we lost too many wickets in the powerplay and didn’t find momentum from ball one. We need to find a way to come back stronger.
We need to give him (Gaikwad) confidence as we all know he's a very good player. I'm sure he will come good," said Jadeja.
Shivam Dube scored 57 runs in the match. In the previous match against Lucknow, Shivam scored 25 runs in the 19th over. That was the main reason for the CSK team's defeat in the tournament. It is noteworthy that he was severely criticized by the fans.
