Batting next, Bangalore scored only 193 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in 20 overs. So CSK won by 23 runs. Mahesh Theekshana took 4 wickets, Jadeja 3 wickets and Bravo and Mukesh Chaudhary took 1 wicket each. Shivam Dube was given the man of the match award.

In it, Akash Deep of Bangalore faced the 4th ball of the 16th over bowled by Jadeja. He hit the ball in the direction of the cover building.
