IPL 2022: Jasprit Bumrah and Nitish Rana penalised for breaching the IPL code of conduct

Mumbai Indians and Kolkata Knight Riders clashed in an IPL league match at the Pune Stadium yesterday. Batting first, Mumbai scored 161 for 4 in 20 overs. Suryakumar Yadav top-scored with 52, Tilak Varma with 38 and Pollard with 22 off 5 balls. Pat Cummins took 2 wickets for Kolkata while Umesh Yadav and Varun Chakravarthy took 1 wicket each.
Following this, Kolkata won the toss and elected to bat. They scored 162 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in 16 overs. Pat Cummins top-scored with 56 and Venkatesh Iyer with 50. Pat Cummins was named Man of the Match.
Meanwhile, the umpires complained that Mumbai Indians fast bowler Bumrah and Kolkata Knight Riders player Nitish Rana had violated the IPL code of conduct during the match. The IPL management's investigation into the complaint has revealed that both have admitted their wrongdoings.
Following this, Nitish Rana has been fined 10 per cent of his match fees yesterday. The IPL management has also warned Bumrah. But the IPL management did not give details of what exactly the two did. Eleven have been penalized for violating the IPL Code of Conduct.
