Home > News Shots > Sports newsTeam India wicketkeeper Wriddhiman Saha is recently making headlines after he bagged his 100th dismissal in Test cricket. With this record, he thereby joined MS Dhoni and Syed Kirmani in the elite 100-dismissals club against Bangladesh at Eden Gardens.
Saha, who began his 36th Test match today, started the game on 99 dismissals and didn’t take long in reaching the aim.
In his total 100 dismissals, there consist of 89 catches and 11 stumpings behind the wickets. He also became the fastest to reach the milestone as he took only 36 Tests.
The record breaking incident took place when he took a stunner with one-hand to send Bangladesh player Mahmadullah back to the pavilion, while Ishant Sharma was the bowler who took the wicket.
Earlier in the day, Bangladesh, who won the toss decided to bat first. Ishant Sharma was splendid on the field as he trapped Imrul Kayes for a paltry 4 while Yadav bagged two wickets inside three balls to get rid off Mominul Haque and Mohammad Mithun.
