"They Failed Badly," - Former Cricketer's Tweet Lands Him In Trouble, Now Trolled
Home > News Shots > Sports newsAfter India was defeated by England at the World Cup Match on June 30, fans were sad and broken. Even since the match, a lot of permutations have changed with India’s loss and over that former Pakistan captain Waqar Younis took a dig at few of the Indian players and questioned the team’s ‘sportsmanship’ spirit.
"It’s not who you are.. What you do in life defines who you are… Me not bothered if Pakistan gets to the semis or not but one thing is for sure.. Sportsmanship of few Champions got tested and they failed badly #INDvsEND #CWC2019,” he wrote in a tweet.

Not surprisingly, Waqar Younis' comments didn't go down too well with the fans worldwide.
According to Indian Express report, Pakistan were heavily banking on India to get the better of England, but a 31-run defeat on Sunday dashed the hopes of Pakistan making it to the final four. With 338 on a batting paradise at Edgbaston, India could only manage 306/5 in response, thus enduring their maiden defeat of the tournament.
Earlier, former Pakistan cricketer Basit Ali and Sikander Bakht had alleged that India might lose to Bangladesh and Sri Lanka on purpose to oust Pakistan from the tournament.
However, cricket fans from both the countries slammed the former Pakistani cricketer on the Indian team. Here are a few tweets;
You guys should win on your own strength. Don’t whine on SM. Others won’t do it for you. It is others’ game. Why the hell they should play it for you ?

It was you who wanted to get yourself run out to deny Anil Kumble the 10th wicket. You are talking about sportsmanship. Hilarious!!
