Virat Kohli or Steve Smith? David Warner Responds

The debate on who's the best between Steve Smith and Virat Kohli has become never-ending. When David Warner was asked to choose between the two, he gave an interesting answer. He said it's more about Australia vs India rather than Steve Smith vs Virat Kohli.

“For us, it’s about Australia vs India, we don’t look at individual battles. If it’s individual, it’s bowler vs batter. At the end of the day, we have to do our research well. We know our line and lengths to bowl in Australia. Use our conditions right. Hopefully, the contest is great between bat and ball and great spirit of cricket battle as well," David Warner said.

Warner further said both Steve Smith and Virat Kohli are two of the best batters in the world across all the formats.

Steve Smith recently described Virat Kohli as a "terrific guy" and appreciated the India skipper's gesture towards him during the 2019 World Cup. During one of the matches at Oval, some Indian supporters started booing Steve Smith as he had just started making a comeback following a year suspension in connection with the infamous ball-tampering scandal. But Virat Kohli stood up and told the crowd not to boo him. He even told them to clap for Steve Smith instead.
