VIDEO: Did Virat Kohli Abuse Martin Guptill for Getting Him Out with an Outstanding Catch?

In case, you recall, Martin Guptill took an outstanding catch to dismiss Indian skipper Virat Kohli during the first T20 International at the Eden Park in Auckland on Friday. Kohli ended up scoring 45 with India eventually winning the match.

Looks like Virat Kohli still had that in mind during the second T20 international. Guptill was going well until he ‘skyed’ a delivery off Shardul Thakur with the Indian skipper scalping it, which was followed by a celebration punctuated with abusive Hindi words. This led fans into thinking Kohli was out there gunning for revenge and made people all the more curious and confused since he had earlier said that he didn’t hold anything against the Kiwis for packing India off in the 2019 Cricket World Cup, which saw England lift the coveted title for the first time. Although later, it came to be known that an umpiring error meant that runs were counted wrongly and in fact, New Zealand were the deserved champions.
